BOUTIQUE DE DANSE III

Dance as a performative art exists for the audience only in the moment of
representation. Unlike in literature, film or music there is no material product
posed as medium for dance. What is then the economic value of a dance piece?
Can a moment have a price ? And how do the performers connect their work to
money, payment and the market ?
Boutique de danse is an ironic reflection about the relation between
the economic mechanism and the ephemeral character belonging to the art of
dance.
The italian choreographer and dancer Ambra Pittoni will sell dance miniatures
in her Boutique de Danse.
The happening is mainly based on interaction between audience/”customers”
and the performance.
The evening menu will consists in different titles ,in which the audience
choice will have a decisional part within the choreographic development.
Through daily action as buying and selling are, Boutique de Danse
aims to involve the audience in the creative process of a dance piece.
As the choreography will be made in the instant each piece will exists only
one time.
The Boutique de danse will open April 24th from 8
pm to 11pm at the 103Studio. The entry is free.
